Logan Egbert
Logan Egbert is a Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of State and Project Manager for the Agency’s online and social media strategy. He will primarily be responsible for speech writing, the production of new and exciting content on the blog and the management of the Secretary of State’s Web 2.0 platforms.
Egbert joined the Secretary of State’s staff in the Winter of 2009. Since receiving his Master’s degree from St. John’s University, he has worked in both the private and public sector doing communications and political work.
Don Hamilton
Don Hamilton oversees media relations and communications for the Secretary of State’s office. His duties include responding to questions from reporters and making sure the efforts of the office are communicated clearly to the public.
Hamilton joined the Secretary of State’s office in the spring of 2008 after a career as a newspaper reporter. He worked for the Oregonian, the Portland Tribune and the now-defunct City News Bureau of Chicago. In 20 years with the Oregonian, his assignments included the Washington, D.C. bureau and both the Oregon and Washington legislatures. Before his newspaper career he worked as a disco DJ under a pseudonym he won’t reveal.
